My buddy banjo… Never have I had a dog like this big guy. 8 months old, nobody knows for sure what all he is mixed with but who cares?! All we need to know is that he is a great companion, well behaved and is our daughters best friend. That girl will shove her hand down his throat, poke his eyes, pull on his jowls and beat him like a drum and he is just sitting there. Panting and wagging his tail. Just happy to be there with his best friend. I love my dog.

I sometimes see my daughter knocked out in her car seat, or taking a nap at home and I think to myself…man she’s got it so good! Enjoy it while it lasts! I don’t want my daughter to grow up too fast. I want her to cherish her childhood more than I did.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to find the motivation to wake up early on a weekend. But it’s moments like this one where my daughter relaxes a bit with me on the couch, watching a movie or in this case “Mickey mouse clubhouse.” I know in these moments especially that it’s always worth while. I can sleep when I’m dead :)
Next time you get a chance, take a good look at everything around you. There is so much beauty in this world simply taken for granted. Over looked. I would’ve never caught a glimpse of this beautiful hill side if I didn’t take a chance to see what was at the top. I’m glad I made the hike.
